    The Calcium Maintenance-Free Advantage


    As the Stand Loss chart shows, after a twelve month stand, a calcium maintenance free battery actually gains cold cranking power while a Hybrid loses almost 10% of its rated capacity and low antimony loses 12%. This is especially significant for the lower capacity batteries.
 

As the In Service Rate of Water Loss chart shows, Hybrid gasses at a rate that is 600% more than calcium maintenance free. Low antimony gasses, or loses water, at a difference of 1200% Conclusion: Less water loss = Longer service life
